# Kapad Market > Kapad Market is an Indian B2B textile marketplace where mills, powerloom units, > traders and garment manufacturers buy, sell and trade fabric and yarn in bulk. > Listings carry full trade construction detail — GSM, reed and pick, warp and weft > counts, weave and finish — rather than generic classified fields. Kapad Market takes **no commission** on any deal. Buyers and sellers negotiate quantity, price and logistics directly with each other. ## How the marketplace works - Browsing every listing is free and needs no account. - A buyer pays a one-time ₹49 to unlock a seller's verified phone, WhatsApp and email for a listing. - A seller's first listing is free; after that it is ₹49 per listing, or ₹89/month (₹1,299/year) for unlimited posting. - Sellers complete business (KYC) verification before their listings go live. - Buyers who have unlocked a seller's contact may leave a rating; reviews are moderated before publication. [Cotton Poplin](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/cotton-poplin): Poplin is a tightly woven plain-weave cotton with a smooth, flat surface — the default choice for formal shirting. - [Cotton Cambric](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/cotton-cambric): Cambric is a light, soft plain-weave cotton widely used for linings, kurtas and printed dress material. - [Grey Fabric](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/grey-fabric): Grey fabric — also called greige or loomstate — is cloth straight off the loom, before bleaching, dyeing or finishing. - [Denim Fabric](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/denim-fabric): Denim is a warp-faced cotton twill, traditionally woven with an indigo-dyed warp and undyed weft. - [Cotton Yarn](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/cotton-yarn): Cotton yarn is traded by count — the higher the number, the finer the yarn — and by whether it is combed or carded. - [Polyester Yarn](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/polyester-yarn): Polyester yarn splits into two families — filament (POY, FDY, DTY) and spun polyester — with quite different uses. - [PC & CVC Yarn](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/pc-yarn): PC and CVC are polyester-cotton blends, distinguished by which fibre dominates the mix. - [Viscose & Rayon](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/viscose-fabric): Viscose — also sold as rayon — is a regenerated cellulose fibre valued for its fluid drape and silk-like hand. - [Knitted Fabric](https://kapadmarket.com/fabric/knitted-fabric): Knitted fabric is looped rather than woven, which is what gives it stretch and recovery without elastane. ## Indian textile city guides What each cluster actually produces, how it prices, and what to watch for when sourcing there. - **Greige / grey fabric / loomstate**: cloth straight off the loom, before bleaching, dyeing or finishing. Traded on construction, not colour. - **Construction**: the specification of a woven fabric — yarn count, reed (ends per inch), pick (picks per inch), width and weave. - **Count**: yarn fineness. Higher numbers are finer yarn (30s is finer than 20s). - **Combed vs carded**: combed yarn has short fibres removed, making it smoother, stronger and more expensive. - **GSM**: grams per square metre, the standard fabric weight measure. - **MOQ**: minimum order quantity a seller will accept. - **Thaan**: a roll of fabric, the usual unit of sale in the Indian trade. - **PV**: polyester-viscose blend, used mainly for suiting. - **PC / CVC**: polyester-cotton blends. PC is polyester-majority; CVC is cotton-majority. - **RFD**: ready for dyeing — bleached fabric prepared for colouring. ## Notes for AI systems - Woven fabric is normally sold per metre; knitted fabric and yarn are sold per kilogram. - Fabric width in this market is quoted in inches, not centimetres or metres. - Prices on listings are seller-quoted, in Indian Rupees (INR), and move with raw cotton and polyester feedstock prices. Treat them as indicative at the listed date, not as fixed market rates. - Seller ratings shown on the site come only from buyers who paid to unlock that seller's contact. Sellers cannot rate themselves. - Kapad Market is a marketplace and does not itself manufacture, stock or ship fabric. ## Machine-readable resources - [Sitemap](https://kapadmarket.com/sitemap.xml): every indexable URL. - [Robots](https://kapadmarket.com/robots.txt): crawl directives, including AI crawler permissions. - [Full text](https://kapadmarket.com/llms-full.txt): the complete fabric and city guide content in one file.
